Visitors to this website will probably be aware of the breach on the Llangollen Canal near New Mills Lift Bridge, Whitchurch in the early hours of December 22. This has resulted in the closure of part of the Llangollen Canal and isolation of the Llangollen Canal west of Whitchurch from the national canal network.
Canal and River Trust (CRT) have provided information on the breach and their immediate response here. CRT state that the task to repair the breach is likely to be lengthy.
